There are lots of books available that cover marine aquariums, fishes and corals, but there hasn't been one dedicated solely to the tridacnid clams since Daniel Knop's Giant Clams came out in 1996 - until now. I have recently finished my book Giant Clams in the Sea and the Aquarium. The book is an 8” x 9” 227-page hardback, printed on high-quality gloss paper, which includes over 300 photographs, and covers all aspects of tridacnid biology and aquarium care.
For those that aren't familiar with my other works, I've been a monthly writer and photographer for Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine for over 7 years now, and have written numerous articles for Aquarium Fish, Freshwater and Marine Aquarium, Reefkeeping, Conscientious Aquarist, and Practical Fishkeeping magazines, too. I am the author of Hard Corals, Soft Corals, Getting Into Mini-Reef Aquariums, and The Super Simple Guide to Corals, as well, all of which were published by TFH. But, I've finally given my full attention to the wonderful clan of giant clams in this one, which has been without a doubt my greatest undertaking and is certainly my best book to date.
